About the Event
Soul2Soul Global is super excited to be holding Level Up! Create the Life You Want Vision Board & 5-Year Plan Workshop, this July 3rd in Downtown Los Angeles. To help you attend the event we have arranged for some rooms to be available at a special rate, $159/night (plus tax,) at the Hotel Indigo Downtown LA, which is where we are holding the workshop. This rate is good for three days before or three days after the event. But act fast because rooms are limited. To reserve your room, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We have put together 7 ‘things to do’ in Downtown Los Angeles and surrounding area, for you to experience the city either before or after your motivating 4-hour workshop with Doctor Gregory Canillas. Here are our suggestions:
#7 Thing to Do in Los Angeles – GRAMMY Museum
Whatever your favourite genre of music is, a trip to the GRAMMY Museum will be thoroughly entertaining. American music is celebrated throughout the museum but one special exhibit is the Michael Jackson: A Musical Legacy which displays some of his most famous outfits.
#6 Thing to Do in Los Angeles – Walking Tour
If you love to be spooked, give the Haunted Tales of Downtown Los Angeles a try! It is a 2-hour walking tour, hosted by LA Walking Tours, starting outside the Pico House.
On the tour, which departs at 6:30pm, you´ll discover the darker side of the city of angels, hear about and see the locations linked to both solved and unsolved murder and suicide mysteries, like the peculiar disappearance of Elisa Lam.
#5 Thing to Do in Los Angeles – Nightlife of West Hollywood
Visit West Hollywood, nicknamed Gay Mecca, which is home to the largest LGBTQ community in the USA. Nightlife here is unlike anywhere else. There are so many excellent bars, restaurants and clubs. The most famous places to drink, eat and party are The Abbey, Fubar and Beaches WeHo. Fiesta Cantina is also a fun spot, especially if you have a hankering for Mexican food.
#4 Thing to Do in Los Angeles - Immersive Van Gogh
Van Gogh’s masterpieces are being updated for the digital era. From May 27th you can walk through Immersive Van Gogh ($40/adult), which projects his paintings in moving images onto the gallery walls. This brand new and breath-taking experience allows you to see more details than ever before.
#3 Thing to Do in Los Angeles – Hollywood Sign
Can you visit Los Angeles without visiting its most famous landmark?
For a memorable time, combine a trip to the Hollywood Sign with a visit to the Griffith Observatory and a hike through Griffith Park. The views are breath-taking, as you´ll be overlooking the city.
You´ll definitely need sunscreen, comfy shoes, a camera and water for this activity.
#2 Thing to Do in Los Angeles – Little Tokyo
As you are in the downtown area, it is the perfect time to explore Little Tokyo. You can easily spend the day here.
Aside from sampling the many tasty and traditional treats at Japanese Village Plaza, you can regain your inner peace at the James Irvine Japanese Garden and learn about the trials and tribulations of Japanese immigration at the Japanese American History Museum .
#1 Thing to Do in Los Angeles – LA Pride
Our top pick is the 7th annual LA Black Pride, hosted by legendary event curator Brandon Anthony’s BBE Group with events scheduled from July 2rd-5th. The exact details are yet to be confirmed, but you can stay up to date with LA Black Pride news, including exclusive ticketing packages, on the official Instagram account @lablackpride.
Also, be sure to check out the local architecture as you explore the star paved Los Angeles city streets, for example:
- The Walt Disney Concert Hall, which has quickly become a Los Angeles icon since its opening in 2003.
- Union Station, built at the end of the 1930’s and defined as the “the last great railway station” of the United States.
- The Last Bookstore, on S Spring Street, famous across the world for keeping the love of books alive, despite the growth in digital reading. It has also been featured in films, like Gone Girl thanks to its cute and quirky nooks.
